What it’s like

Miller’s sits in the heart of the old town, in a beautifully restored village house behind a deep blue door on a cobbled lane. The interior leans bohemian-and-arty rather than minimalist — vintage furniture, layered textiles, art on the walls, the kind of personality you can’t fake.

The property has five ensuite bedrooms (three ground-floor rooms with showers, two junior suites with balconies or terraces) plus two family apartments with mini kitchens. Communal areas include a kitchen, a lounge, and the signature rooftop terrace with Jacuzzi and BBQ — the hangout space that gives the whole stay its character.

Distinctive features: in-house massages, afternoon tea, and cookery lessons on request, all run as part of the property. There’s an "experiences over rooms" sensibility — guests are treated more like house guests than hotel customers.

Who it suits

  • Couples and small families who want character over chain-hotel polish.
  • Wellness or food-focused travellers — the cookery lessons and in-house massages are part of the offer.
  • Groups taking the whole house — full-property rental at €690–820/night sleeps up to 18, working out as good value for an extended family or friends’ weekend.
  • Pet owners — explicitly welcome.

Things to know

  • Old-town location means no on-site parking — you’ll park in one of the village car parks (free) and walk in. Bring soft luggage if you can.
  • Cobbled streets are steep — not ideal for guests with serious mobility issues.
  • Open year-round, including winter.
  • Featured on UK TV’s A New Life in the Sun, which has driven UK awareness of the property.

How to book

Direct via the property’s own website at millershotels.com is the cleanest route — they answer emails personally and a direct enquiry often gets you a more tailored response than booking through an OTA. Otherwise you’ll find them on Booking.com, TripAdvisor, and the usual platforms.

For full-house exclusive rental in summer or around the Festival of Three Cultures, book 4–6 months ahead.
