Weather · February
Frigiliana weather in February.
Almond blossom country. Mild days, the village Carnaval at the end of the month, and Andalucía Day on the 28th.
What February feels like in Frigiliana
February is the quiet month's slightly warmer twin. Days creep up to 17–19°C on the sunny end of the spread, and the countryside changes character: almond trees come into blossom across the Axarquía from mid-month, turning the hills pink-white. It's the prettiest time to walk the paths above the village. Carnaval lands in the last week or so — costumed processions, satirical songs, a village-wide parade. The 28th is Andalucía Day, a regional holiday with flags up and the town hall opening its doors.

Frigiliana vs Nerja in February
Frigiliana sits at 300m elevation, six kilometres inland and uphill from Nerja. That elevation difference makes the village consistently 1–2°C cooler than the Nerja coast — most noticeably in summer afternoons and evenings. In February, expect Nerja to be one or two degrees warmer on the warmest part of the day, with the gap narrowing in the cooler months. Sea temperatures (around 15°C) are the same whether you swim from Burriana or from one of the secluded coves at Maro.
